10/22 Tournament Day Schedule

As another things wind to a close, 10/22/22 will mark the final day of our Fall 2022 season, and the brackets are set for what should be an exciting day of soccer.

Our 8U and 12U age groups will feature a modified Round Robin setup, while the 10U group will play a good old fashioned Double Elimination bracket, with all groups crowning a season ending champion. In all groups, each team is guaranteed two games for the day to ensure they have enough opportunities to leave it all on the field before their season wraps up. In a day where winners move on, each game has to have someone come out of top, and there no better way to determine a winner in soccer than a SHOOTOUT!!! In the instance of a tie, game outcomes will be determined by a 5 round shootout, and if still tied, that will be followed up by another 3 rounds, and finally, if still tied, 1 round at a time until a winner is crowned. In each the 8U & 12U brackets, in the instance of a tie in the standings, those ties will also be broken by shootout in order to determine which teams will advance to their championship games. With this many chances for shootouts, the excitement should be quite high throughout the day!

While much remains the same for the day, game times have been slightly reduced in order to help the kids, and the schedule for the day. All halves have been reduced by 5 minutes, so 8U will play 15min halves, 10U at 20min, & 12U playing 25min halves.

On top of all of the fun that the soccer games will provide for the day, we will once again be having a Cotton Candy and Snow Cone vendor on-site as a treat for the kids. Every player will get one free voucher the vendor, as well as it will be open all day for everyone to enjoy. On top of that, in an effort to offset our costs of holding events for the day, UVSA will be holding a basket raffle with many great prizes and chances to win for all in attendance.

As of now, the weather looks great, the day is set, and we're excited to wrap a bow on what has been another great season for UVSA. Can't wait to see you all there!!!
